An Earthquake and Thoughts from a Professor

From Yahoo News

LA Skyline - from Yahoo! News

I found a great quote hidden in Dennis G. Jerz’s blog and felt it needed to be shared:

If you are having trouble getting started, look out the window. The whole world is a story, and every moment is a miracle.
-Bruce Taylor, UWEC Professor of Creative Writing

This quote is very pertinent for today, as the LA area just felt a 5.8 earthquake (I don’t say I felt it, since I was in my car, with the music blaring, and didn’t feel it!). Despite not feeling it, the reponses via twitter and email still interrupted my day enough to make me pause and look out the window. In doing so, I allowed my brain a little freedom and was inspired for the design of the new blog for a client I am working with. Until now, I had planned on keeping it similar to the main webpage – but the response to the earthquake on twitter, inspired me to, for lack of a better word, shake it up a bit!

Try it – take a look out the window (or the metaphorical window if your office doesn’t have one) - and let me know what it inspires in you!
