What is your message?

I love creative cards. I love argile socks. I love pink. Needless to say, this card caught my attention. And, although the quote can’t be credited to the creator of the card, it is a great message for her and her life. Suz (one of the staff writers for the OC Register) had commented on one of my blog posts. Since I appreciate each of my commenters, I took a look at her blog and found this birthday card that she had made for herself. I also did a little looking around at the site, and the other sites that she participates in. She certainly is a fearless female who follows her own rules*.
Anyway, it got me thinking about messages and quotes. Business is all about messaging – without a message, no one knows about you. Without a good message, no one cares. The problem is many of us forget what ‘business’ we are in. I have a job that pays my bills, but that isn’t the business I am in. The business I am in is the business of being creative. My business is writing about what I find interesting, my job is what pays the bills. So, my message has nothing to do with my job, and everything to do with my blog. My message is: “Sometimes the ‘wright’ creativity is all you need.
Does your message come from your job or your passion?
What is your message – personal or business?
