So, spamming just to get a link is rather pointless since they are normally no follow.I am fairly new to the blogging world and have much to learn. I spent about 6 months of heavy blogging on a great site but it got too heavily involved in drama. If you spend time contributing to the blogs of others, especially smaller blogs, the more likely other people will be willing to read and comment on your blog.
