LOL Kirsten. How true is this? I believe we’re living parallel lives. As you know I avoided facebook like the plague (and still not totally sure how I feel about it) and was trying to keep my personal and professional life separate on twitter but that appears to have been a lesson in futility! I’ve met so many fabulous people IRL that I can’t imagine it any other way. Matter of fact you’re one of those fabulous people both personally and professionally! Thanks for all your help on my website and blog! Can’t wait to share 4 glasses of wine (or beer) with ya at your bday party! Now if I can just figure out Digg and Reddit and Google Wave

I said I would comment and I finally got my chance to. I try to keep my blog and Facebook separate for the most part. I do have some bloggers on my FB, but they are people that I’ve become friends with outside of the blog. I’m working on my blog Facebook Fan Page now…which is weird, cause really, do I need a fan club? Do I have fans? I don’t like that word “fan”.

Great article Kirsten! I agree with not wanting to use Facebook at first… and I’m not sure I ever will use it for business. It just doesn’t seem necessary. Any pictures I would put on Facebook would be of my work, which is on my website. Any messages that would need to be send to/from me would be on Twitter or e-mail. The only main reason I would use Facebook for my graphic design would be to get my name out there a bit more. But I wouldn’t want it included in my personal life.
